Why he won: His strength and fighting skills helped but mainly because of his allies and the second last tribute, Ash Beech, commiting suicide after Caylix killed his district partner.

First Games: Memorable Moments, Events and People

The First Games- The build up to the first games was huge. Everyone in the Capitol, including myself, counted down the days until the first official reaping and games. We still had a sore patch about the whole “rebell against the capitol thing” so it was so great to see all those districts put in their places

The reaping- My, my those tributes didn’t want to leave! A few of those chosen were dragged away from their parents kicking and screaming which was cool to watch on the big screen!

Ash Beech and Cyra May’s outfits- Whilst most of the districts looked tacky and over done, Ash Beech and Cyra May looked like fighting gods in every outfit they were put in! Who can forget the opening ceremony, with the war paint on their faces and the swords casually thrown over their backs?

Diamond Quin’s dress- She’s from D1, her name is Diamond and she’s got the allure of Finnick Odair. There was no doubt that she was going to wear a interview dress made of pure diamonds. But wow, it was better then anyone could’ve imagined. Sure, she didn’t get as far as most of us would’ve thought, but those sponsors couldn’t get enough of her.

Caylix Gand’s interview- The future victor sure knew how to woo a crowd! Anyone else catch that wink he threw in Blaze Foal’s direction?

Flame Clarke in general- The original career, the original Hunger Games anti-hero, this kid was messed up! He couldn’t think straight for one minute. Remember in the interview, when asked about his family back home, he started talking about the best way to kill a person without getting blood on you! Man! We mocked him then but once he got into the arena and got his hands on a morning star sponsors literally crawled over each other to give this guy an advantage in the arena. He would’ve won too if it wasn’t for those meddling kids ( and his interesting hostage tactics)

Blaze’s death- Kick ass Blaze with a knack for knives got fatally wounded by Flame. But, being Flame, he didn’t finish her. He left her to die for HOURS. And her ally, and thought to be lover, Caylix couldn’t kill her himself. He never did get over her, did he?

The end- The ultimate showdown! Flame and Flint VS Caylix and Ash. Oh, and Cyra was there but of little use (was she annoying or what? Couldn’t stop crying!) So whilst Ash chopped off Flint’s arm and stabbed Flame in the stomach, Caylix ran away to finish off Cyra! It might’nt have been the best way to show her love, but apparently he did it to help her (he says that she never would’ve survived from that horrible stomach wound. I guess he hasn’t seen surgical facilites in the capitol?) Then, Ash being heartbroken and all, stabbed himself! So Caylix was left as the unwilling and unfufilled Victor! As he was carried up by the hovercraft he called out for a whole number of people to help him, including Flame and Flint (weird huh?)

The Victor ceremony- Caylix went crazy, screamed at Prezzie Snow and got dragged off stage (not before telling everyone that their odds were in their favour, mind you.) Some say he got “supressed” with drugs, others say he just finally snapped. But for years he just wandered round the capitol muttering about Blaze and knives and Ash committing suicide. Still, he’s got the looks on his side!
